Davis recognized in anniversary celebration

The congregation at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church celebrated the eight year anniversary of their pastor, Elder Chester Davis, on Sunday, July 2 with two dedicated services.

In the services, Davis, and his wife, Freddie Davis, the church’s first lady, were honored for their service to the church.

“To God be the glory for the great things that he has done,” said Chester Davis during the celebration. “I appreciate the appreciation, but it is all through him.”

“I thank God for every one of us, for this community as a whole… Thank God for my wife and for my church family.”
