McGuire receives doctorate from Princeton
Devlin R. McGuire, son of Colonel Patrick McGuire of Port St. Joe, FL, and Rebecca Mitchell of St. Simon’s Island, GA, received his doctorate during the annual commence held in the chapel of the University of Princeton in Princeton, NJ. McGuire obtained his bachelor’s degree at Wheaton College in Illinois and his master’s degree in biblical studies also at the Princeton Theological Seminary.
His doctoral dissertation was entitled “Elements of Apocalyptic Eschatology in Jewish and Christian Literature of the Late Second Temple Period.”
McGuire will assume duties as a professor of the New Testament in the fall at Fundación Universitaria Seminario Bíblico de Columbia in Columbia. He will be accompanied by his wife, Dr. Courtney McGuire, who will assume duties as a physical therapist at a local hospital.
