Local business, organization donate to pizza party at senior center

There was plenty of food at the Port St. Joe Senior Citizens Center on Thursday afternoon, thanks to a donation from Peter’s Pizza and The Gift of Love, a charitable organization founded by Tammy and Robert Farmer.

Together, they provided the robust meal to the seniors at the center free of cost.

“We decided to get together and do something to give back to the community, We would like to thank the folks at Peter’s Pizza for helping to make our special event possible,” said Robert Farmer, who works with the Gulf County Senior Citizens Association. “And I would like to thank God for everything that He does for us at the senior citizens center.”

He went on to say that the center appreciates the support from local businesses like Peter’s who help make special events at the center possible.

“We also want to thank Centennial Bank and the people at Centennial Bank for their support on our Hotdog Day and for volunteering their time to help,” he said.
