County Road 386 accident results in two fatalities

Deputies and first responders were at the scene of a traffic accident earlier this afternoon on CR 386 between Harmony Street and Rish Farm Road.
 
Two vehicles collided head on resulting in the deaths of a 27 year-old Wewahitchka man and a 48 year-old man from Grand Ridge, Florida.
 
The collission occurred after a sedan veered to the left, crossing over the centerline and traveled eastbound in the westbound lane of County Road 386 as a pickup truck was approaching.
 
Both drivers were pronounced deceased on scene. There were no other  known passengers in either vehicle.
 
The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting the traffic crash investigation.
 
County Road 386 has been reopened to traffic.
