Terry Howell McDaniel, age 75, of Wewahitchka, FL passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024. He was born November 11, 1948 in Panama City, FL. Terry retired from the city of Port St Joe after 30 years, beginning his career with the Wastewater Treatment plant and retiring as the Superintendent of Public Works. He was a resident of Gulf County, passionate about fly fishing in the Deadlakes, hunting in Kinard, and driving his tractor around the yard. His kind spirit and willingness to help others offered a great sense of humor which led to plenty of laughter and jokes. Terry was devoted to his family and loved the time he could spend with them creating memories. Terry is preceded in death by his father Thomas Howell, mother Minnie Ola McDaniel and nephew Tranuam Howell McLemore. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Pamela Cash McDaniel; children, Christy Griffin (Kevin), Kendra McDaniel, Kara McDaniel, Bo Jackson (Ginger); grandchildren, Morgan Gouldburn (Andy), Madison Griffin, Augustus Griffin, Kayla McDaniel, Cole Jackson (Tina) and Kelley Jo Jackson; great grandchildren, Julia and Josie Jackson; siblings, Ward McDaniel (Lesia), Penny McLemore (Charles), Dixie McDaniel, and Larkin McDaniel (Angie); five nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 2 at 11:00am CST at Westside Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, FL with Reverend Derrick Gerber officiating. There will be a fish fry in Terry’s honor immediately following the service at the family home, everyone is welcome. Arrangements under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home.
