Richard Iverson Bentley, age 81, passed away with his loving wife Catherine by his side on Sunday February 18, 2024, at Vitas Health and Rehab. He was preceded in death by mom, Bertie Iona and Stepfather Roy David Daniels (Eastpoint, FL), his father Albert Lee Bentley (Macon, GA), brothers, Curtis Eugene Bentley (Macon, GA) and Billy Wayne Daniels (Eastpoint, FL). Richard leaves behind his wife Catherine; children, Trish Hollenbeck and Arthur, David Wayne Bentley and Martina, Liz Custer and Mark, Sarah Wilder, Renee Cumbie and Andy, Michelle Usery and Adam; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers, H.L. (Bo) Bentley and Cathy (Eastpoint), Robert Bentley and Diane (Macon, GA), W.D. (David) Daniels and Chris (Buford, GA); sisters, Sarah Phillips and Alan (St. Pete, FL), Bonnie Daniels Yomes (Tallahassee, FL), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who he loved and enjoyed spending time talking, joking around, and fishing with. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 16 at Southside Assembly of God 15164 SR 71 South Blountstown, FL at 1:00 PM CT. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Childrens Hospital in Richard’s name. Arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home.
