Paul Wilson Cunningham, born on October 23, 1937, in Johnson City, TN to Paul Clifford Cunningham and Mary Belle Smith Cunningham, passed away on March 10, 2024, in Panama City, FL. Paul was raised in the Catholic faith, an Airforce veteran, a Sears Sales Manager, and a former member of the Red Cross. He was known as an outdoorsman and a riverman, finding solace and peace in nature. His hobbies included gardening, canning, fishing, and reading, but above all, Paul cherished time spent with his beloved family. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Thompson, sister Theresa Doty, and Grand Grandchild Aiden Heath. He leaves behind partner Marchelle Gates of Wewahitchka; son, Steven and Bonnie Cunningham of Jasper, GA; daughters, Angela Alvarez and Eric of Riverview, FL, and Ashley Gates of Wewahitchka; sisters, Judy Kilby and Robert of Johnson City, TN, and Cecilia Cunningham of Hilton Head, SC; grandchildren, Ashley, Mitchell, Felicia, Gregory, Carey, Joseph, Johonna, and Paislynn, as well as his great-grandchildren, Tristan, Leon, Jude, Cayden, Jace, Tori, Makayden, Kylen, Keaton, and Bowen. A graveside funeral service will be held at Roberts Cemetery in Wewahitchka, FL, on March 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with Reverend Aaron Kent officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:00 AM. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
