Celebrate National Libraries Week

The Northwest Regional Library System will be hosting programming in honor of National Libraries Week 2023 between April 23 and April 29.

Libraries are full of stories in a variety of formats, from picture books to large print, audiobooks to ebooks, and more.

But there’s so much more to the story. Libraries of things lend items like musical instruments, cake pans and telescopes. The Gulf County library locations have a seed library where you can receive five seed packets a month. Library programming brings communities together for entertainment, education and connection through book clubs, storytimes, movie nights, crafting classes and lectures. Library infrastructure advances communities, providing internet and technology access, literacy skills and support for businesses, job seekers and entrepreneurs. This is the week to celebrate your local library and to provide appreciation for all that libraries do!

The Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Library is located at 110 Library Drive, Port St. Joe. The hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (10 a.m. – 6 p.m. EDT) and Friday and Saturday (10 a.m. – 2 p.m. EDT).  For more information, call the library at 850-229-8879 or visit www.nwrls.com.
