Bill Reid joins Vacasa
Bill Reid has recently joined Vacasa, a vacation rental management company as sales executive for the Forgotten Coast of the Florida Panhandle.
Vacasa, based in Portland, Oregon, which manages over 27,000 properties in the US and internationally, is the largest vacation rental company in the United States. They span over 27 states and 18 countries across the globe.
Reid, who will handle the territory covering Mexico Beach and east to St. George Island, said Vacasa has a small number of properties along the Forgotten Coast and is looking to grow their market share.
Reid formerly worked as a broker associate with Beach Realty of Cape San Blas in Port St Joe, after moving to Gulf County permanently in 2008. His experience as a realtor, ownership of a vacation rental home on Cape San Blas since 2002 and active owner with his wife Caryn, of Hospitality Linens in Port St Joe, provides him with the knowledge needed from all sides of the vacation rental industry.
He will be working with homeowners and investors of vacation homes on the advantages and potential of placing their homes with Vacasa, so as to maximize their rental income potential utilizing the company’s dynamic rates program.
“Bill was the obvious choice for the Forgotten Coast with his vast experience in real estate and the vacation rental business from all sides,” said Keely Taylor, regional sales manager out of Destin. “We are excited to have Bill grow our footprint on the Forgotten Coast.”

David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.
Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
