Club celebrates teacher and nurse appreciation weeks

Each May, communities across the country take time to recognize two incredibly important groups of professionals – teachers and nurses. These individuals dedicate their lives to caring, educating, and making a lasting difference in the lives of others. The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club is proud to stand among those honoring their dedication, compassion, and hard work.

Whether it’s baking cookies, preparing sweet treats, or delivering thoughtful notes of thanks, our members believe that even the smallest gestures can carry deep meaning. This year, during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9) and Nurses Appreciation Week (May 6 – 12), club members come together to show love and gratitude to the incredible educators and healthcare professionals who serve our community every single day.

Our teachers inspire future generations, shaping minds with patience and creativity. Our nurses offer care and comfort, often during life’s most vulnerable moments. These professionals give so much of themselves, and we believe it’s our turn to give a little back – even if it’s just a homemade dessert and a heartfelt thank you.

At GFWC Wewahitchka, we know that appreciation doesn’t have to be grand, it just has to be genuine. We are honored to be part of a movement that recognizes and uplifts those who do so much for others, and we thank all our local teachers and nurses for everything they do.
