Lillian Elizabeth Lewis (Betty) went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2024 at Select Hospital in Panama City, Florida at the age of 93 while surrounded by her family. She was born in Apalachicola but lived her adult life in Port St. Joe.

She worked at Citizens Federal Bank as well as the Gulf County School Board for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, which she attended faithfully. She served as past president of the Port St. Joe Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, photography and tracing her family lineage through genealogy. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. She loved to travel, and with her husband, visited every state in the country.

She was predeceased by her spouse, John Lewis and her daughter Linda Lewis Wright.

She is survived by her daughter, Jerrie Todd (Greg) and son Hal Lewis (Jane Sherrill), granddaughters Megan Todd, Kayleigh Weiss (Max), Meredith Todd, Ashleigh Lewis and grandson Bradley Lewis as well as two great granddaughters, Saylor Weiss and Shiloh Weiss, and a devoted companion Minnie Cat.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Holly Hill Cemetery.
