Tiger Sharks shut out Sneads
The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks evening their season at 4-4, as they blanked the visiting Sneads Pirates 24-0 Friday night at home.
The team amassed 373 total yards, led by a brilliant 11-for-17 aerial evening for junior quarterback Jacob Hensley, who threw for 273 yards, and two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Senior Daren Angelino caught four of those passes, for 122 yards, while junior Blake Childress caught one for 45 yards, and senior Javan Hampton caught two for 41 yards. Junior Eli Godwin had two for 31 yards, and junior Asher Peacock caught a 22-yarder, and senior Colton Johnson a 12-yarder.
Junior Eli Harris rushed 13 times for 79 yards, and senior Donnell Hills and Hensley each three times, for five and eight yards respectively. Johnson ran twice for seven yards.
Junior Jacob Marshall and Peacock led with nine tackles each, with each tallying two for a loss. Senior Ardarien Bryant added eight tackles.
Port St. Joe hosts the 6-3 Jefferson County Tigers Friday night.

David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.
Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
