Vandertulip two-hits Chipley
Port St. Joe senior pitcher Fisher Vandertulip had perhaps his best outing of the season March 28, as he twirled a two-hit shutout 1-0 on the road against the Chipley Tigers.
He struck out nine and walked just two, in the seven inning affair.
Vandertulip aided his cause with a hit and a run scored, when he was brought home in the top of the third on a single by senior C.J. Conway.
Conway, junior Peyton Knox and sophomore Eli Harris each had two hits, including each a double. Sophomore Baylor Parte, senior Jentzen Odom, and senior Hunter Hicks also had singles.
The win followed three consecutive losses for the Tiger Sharks, as they fell March 16 2-0 to Callaway and later that day 14-4 to the Heard County (Georgia) Braves. On March 27 at Blountstown, Port St. Joe lost 4-0 to the Tigers.
