‘Hunker Down’ has been nothing but exceptional
With mixed emotions I read (and thoroughly enjoyed) Kesley Colbert’s final two Hunker Down articles. On one hand I’m very pleased that his 40-year run is over, knowing the deadline pressures he’s undoubtedly had to live with, coupled with the sacrificing of valuable, once-in-a-lifetime quality retired time.
On the other hand, I’ll sure miss reading his “stuff,” but I guess I can consider myself lucky to have enjoyed said stuff for dang near 27 years. Shucks, some folks have never had the pleasure.
Anyway, to Kesley, please accept my heartfelt congratulations for the successful run you’ve had and for your literary accomplishments. Those accomplishments should never be considered as unexceptional. In your own way, in your own style, “Hunker Down” was nothing but exceptional.
Respectfully,
Jack Blake
