April 12 Easter egg hunt planned for PSJ
The Junior Service League of Port St. Joe invites the community to join in the fun at the annual Easter Egg Hunt & Games on Saturday, April 12, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Centennial Park.
This free family-friendly event will feature an exciting egg hunt, with hundreds of eggs, including 25 special golden eggs, along with activities and games for all ages.
Children can enjoy classic favorites like sack races, hula hoop contests, egg and spoon races, corn hole, and a bucket and ball toss. A bounce house with a slide and a large inflatable slide will add to the fun, while special guests including the Easter Bunny, a fire truck, and the Gulf County k-9 team will be on-site for photos and interactive experiences. David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.
Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
