PB church to honor pastor

Elder Chester F. and Lady Freddie Davis will be honored next month for their nine years

of dedicated and unselfish service as pastor and leading lady at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church, and the community in which it serves. 

The celebration will kick off Saturday, July 6 at 6 p.m. ET when the Rev. Bernelric Moore and the Zion Fair Baptist Church Congregation begin the celebration at the church at 259 Avenue D in Port St. Joe. On Sunday, July 7 at 11 a.m. the Rev. Lennie Wilson will be the speaker of the hour.



A cordial invitation is extended to everyone to come out to both services in support of Elder and Lady Davis and to encourage them as they continue their work as builders in the Kingdom of God.



Meet the Editor

David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.

Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
