Pedrick, Dilworth earn academic honors at Alabama

Bobbie Pedrick of Carrabelle, and Eleanor Dilworth of Port St. Joe, each were among 13,103 students to earn academic honors for the Spring 2024 Semester at the University of Alabama.

Pedrick was named to the Presidents List based on an academic record of 4.0 (all As) for the semester.

Dilworth was named to the Deans List for having earned an academic record of 3.5 (or above).



The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The University of Alabama, part of The University of Alabama System, is the state’s flagship university, offering nearly 200 degree programs throughout more than 30 research centers.

David Adlerstein, The Apalachicola Times’ digital editor, started with the news outlet in January 2002 as a reporter.

Prior to then, David Adlerstein began as a newspaperman with a small Boston weekly, after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He later edited the weekly Bellville Times, and as business reporter for the daily Marion Star, both not far from his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

In 1995, he moved to South Florida, and worked as a business reporter and editor of Medical Business newspaper. In Jan. 2002, he began with the Apalachicola Times, first as reporter and later as editor, and in Oct. 2020, also began editing the Port St. Joe Star.
