Battle of the links at St. Joseph Bay ladies tourney

The lady golfers gathered at St. Joseph Bay Golf Club for a two-day tournament May 8 and 9 to determine the 2024 Ladies Club Champion.

After 36 holes, and a hard-fought tournament, the winners of a close play finally emerged.

Rene Wolfe, of Port St. Joe, is the 2024 Ladies Club Champion with a two-day score of 159 for 36 holes. She also is the 2024 Putting Champ with a total of 56 putts for the 36 holes. Wow!

Ethel Bardsley, of Eastpoint, took the honors as St Joseph Bay Ladies Golf Club 2024 Senior Club Champion with a score of 169 for 36 holes.

Rachel Blair, of Port St. Joe, is the Senior Club Ladies Net Champion for 2024 with a net score of 152 for the 36 holes.

The play was enjoyed by all players, and it was nip-and-tuck right to the bitter end for the seniors, who had to break a tie for the championship between Ethel Bardsley and Jan Roycroft. Good playing to all the lady golfers.
