Saturday food giveaway wraps up volunteer week

April is National Volunteer Month, and it lets you embrace the spirit of giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of others. National Volunteer Month is a wonderful reminder that even small acts of kindness can have a profound impact.

During the week of April 21 to 27 it is GFWC Volunteers in Action week. Look for volunteers celebrating Earth Day and Arbor Day by planting trees and ending the week with several members helping give out food on Saturday, April 27 at Carter’s Temple in Wewahitchka.

The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club meetings are the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Wewahitchka Senior Citizens Building. Join us to learn how you can be a part of an 87-year-old club. By being a volunteer, you can make a positive difference in your community and more. Contact us at gfwcwewawomansclub@gmail.com.

The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club is a non-profit, 501c(3) volunteer charity organization whose purpose is to promote and provide civic, educational, and charitable activities that enrich the lives, and the environment in the service area of Wewahitchka.
