Rain doesn’t faze ducks from racing
On Saturday March 9 at Lake Alice in Wewahitchka, there were 1,291 ducks racing in a flowing manmade river, all battling to be first or even second place. Many came out despite the rain to see if their “adopted” rubber duck would win $500. There was food, great music, and fantastic prizes. Congratulations to all who ran the 5k race to benefit the Wewahitchka High School cross country team. A big Thank You to all our sponsors and non-profits. A special thank you to the Wewahitchka Woman’s Club members for this event. Follow us and like us on Facebook to see events upcoming and so much more.
