Get ready for Saturday’s Duck Derby

Welcome to March! We have several upcoming events planned for Spring 2024. Kicking off on Saturday, March 9 with The Duck Dash 5K benefiting the Wewahitchka High School cross country team, and The GFWC Wewahitchka Duck Derby. This huge fundraising event is where rubber ducks will “race” across Lake Alice with numbers corresponding to an individual who will have previously “adopted” the duck at the cost of $5. The lucky owners of the first ducks to cross the finish line will win one of our exciting prizes.

The club hosts an Easter event at Honeyville Park on Saturday, March 23. We will also have a Spring Cake Auction, selling dinner plates and more. For more information and updates, visit gfwcwewahitchawomansclub.com and Facebook page GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club. The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club meetings are the second Tuesday of the month, 5:30 p.m. at the Wewahitchka Senior Citizens Building. See how you can make a positive difference in your community through this non-profit 501c (3) volunteer charity organization whose purpose is to promote and provide civic, educational, and charitable activities that enrich the lives and the environment in the service area of Wewahitchka.
