Nothing ‘dethpicable’ about March 3 Duck Derby
We have a little over one week until a whole lotta quaking goes on! To start will be a 5K Duck “People” Race benefiting the Wewahitchka cross country team with a start time of 9 CT. This huge fundraising event is where rubber ducks will “race” across Lake Alice with numbers corresponding to an individual who will have previously “adopted” the duck at the cost of $5. The lucky owners of the first ducks to cross the finish line will win one of our exciting prizes. For event flyer and more information and updates, go to gfwcwewahitchawomansclub.com and on the dashboard choose “Duck Derby 2024.” Thank you to the more than 25 sponsors and 17 non-profits helping make this event one to absolutely enjoy and raise funds for our beautiful community. The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club meetings are the second Tuesday of the month, 5:30 p.m. at the Wewahitchka Senior Citizens Building.
