Apalachicola Farmers Market Saturday

The Apalachicola Farmers Market is this Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mill Pond Pavilion at the end of Market Street. For more info email farmersmarket@cityofapalachicola.com.

Pickleball for Sea Turtles

Have a ball at the Florida Coastal Conservancy’s Pickleball for Sea Turtles Tournament to be held all weekend at Frank Pate Park.

While it is too late to register to play, the public is invited to come watch the tournament and browse informational booths at the event.

Bikers invited to Saturday ‘Dice Run’

The Camp Gordon Johnston Dice Run will take place Saturday around noon, immediately following the veterans parade, as a fundraiser to support the museum’s mission. All types of vehicles are welcome to participate.

Registration for the run will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the first Dice Run Stop, Camp Gordon Johnston Museum, 1873 US Hwy 98 West, at Carrabelle Beach. There will be four more stops around the county and then the run will conclude by 4:30 p.m. at the last stop, American Legion Post #82 in Lanark with a meal, prizes, and 50/50. Tickets are $15 for the rider/driver and $5 for each passenger and includes one dice card and great food at the last stop. Honor ‘greatest generation’ Saturday

The Camp Gordon Johnston World War II Museum is celebrating the 28th annual Camp Gordon Johnston Day parade this Saturday, March 11 starting at 10:45 a.m. in Carrabelle. The parade, which will wind through downtown Carrabelle along US Hwy 98,  honors the county’s remaining WWII veterans and salutes all veterans to the present. Individuals, community organizations, and businesses are all welcome to participate with a float, vehicle, or as walkers; there is no cost to participate.
